About Heather Hess

As a child I was fascinated by the photos my mother hid away from my inquisitive eyes and tiny fingers. In my childhood innocence I didn’t understand the magical photos divulged clues to a secret part of her life she wasn’t willing to share and a part of me I was searching for.

I am intrigued by the art of photography, passionate about life, nature and family and an avid researcher, travel writer and an intuitive photographer-videographer. Birds and flowers intrigue me - birds for the challenge and flowers for their fading beauty.

I have travelled extensively in the Canada, the U.S., Mexico and the Bahamas. I am enthusiastic about the languages, history, culture, cuisine, people, landscape and traditions of contemporary and pre-Hispanic Mexico. My present project is www.cangomexico.com.
