Forgetful

This is perhaps the sort of thing you might do for an elderly relative. My mother suffers from Alzheimer’s, but this particular note was put up by my wife for my benefit. It still doesn’t stop me from sometimes forgetting to turn the iron off.

Taken with a Rolleicord Va on Kodak Tri-X 400 film. I was struck by the light and shadows coming through the window. Tri-X is the perfect medium for capturing the variation in tones. In this digital age there is still a place for film.

The Rolleicord is a new acquisition and this is one of the shots on the first roll of film I’ve taken with it. I love the way it slows me down and makes me think more about the photograph I’m taking.
